who we are
we are a group of early career ocean professionals from different universities in Tanzania with common backgrounds in marine silences, aquatic sciences and aquaculture
our goal is to create a healthy and sustainable ocean through community based projects, innovations and research.

one of the greatest fear in conservation of the blue planet and in the act of creating a healthy and sustainable ocean is the lack of understanding by the majority of the community on the oceanic issues
we aim to PROVIDE OCEAN LITERACY to all with this program
BAHARI YETU is a swahili word which means OUR OCEAN
