About the project
Rivers are the transporters of everything it carries to the oceans and estuary with much of the efforts being concentrated only in cleaning the beaches and estuary its much worthy to have initiatives to end plastic wastes from grassroot levels.
with this project we managed to remove 28000kgs of waste from the rivers in Dar es salaam Tanzania including Msimbazi river, Msimbazi estuary and Tinga Tinga river, this project is funded by Sustainable ocean alliance through ocean leadership microgrants program
the project brought together 150 people into actions to clean up the rivers

MANGROVE RESTORATION
About the project
with a collective impact from our members in Zanzibar and Mafia we manage to restore 13300 mangroves in Zanzibar and Mafia Island
Mangroves are among the important ecosystems in the ocean for filtration of the water offering protection to the ocean and for blue carbon sequestration, this ecosystem helps the world to recover from the global climate crisis
we are determine to keep protecting and restoring this valuable ecosystem for our ocean.
